The glazing beads can be square or chamfered and there is a choice of a 58mm or 70mm deep frame to accommodate varying applications.
Available in a choice of standard or non-standard colours, including metallic, dual colour, Smart’s textured Sensations & Cotswold ranges and Alchemy anodised effect finishes.
Alitherm Heritage provides the ideal solution for heritage applications such as listed building renovations and large scale replica-refurbishment projects where planning constraints are to be considered.
The window is designed to be built as a series of horizontal modules which can be stacked using horizontal couplers to form a multi-part window featuring a specially design drip bar between modules.
Alitherm profiles utilise Smart’s innovative polyamide thermal break technology which creates a barrier between the cold air outside and the warm air inside. This technology significantly reduces thermal transmittance and enhances the overall U Value of a product and is designed to meet the exacting requirements of Document L 2010.
Alitherm products are available in a choice of standard or non-standard colours, including metallic, dual colour, Smart’s Sensations textured, and Alchemy anodised effect finishes.

Tilt and Turn Description
A standard series of profiles with a thermal break, used for traditional window applications in housing and industrial buildings.
Aluminium: AIMgSi 0.5 Type 6060/6063 T5 in condition F22 (according to NBN P21-001and DIN1725). Tolerance according to DIN17618.
Sealings: E.P.D.M according to DIN786, TV110, NFP85301, ISO3994. Tested and approved according to an artificial ageing test of “Plexi glass” combined with vulcanised rubber.
Thermal break: polyamide strips PA6.6 25% reinforced with glass fibre.
Electrostatic Powder coating: according to the guidelines of A.P.A.-Qualicoat in most current RAL-colours and imitated wood structures. Anodisation in satin or bronze colours with EWAA/EURAS-Qulinod quality label. The composed profiles can be coated with different inner and outer colours (Dual-Colour).
The profiles consist of 2 Aluminium extrusions which are separated from one another by polyamide strips PA6.6 25% reinforced with glass fibre. A gluing thread, rolled and pushed in together with the thermal break profile ensures a strong adhesion after melting and flowing, when the profiles are heated in the hardening furnace.
Windows are manufactured to required design to within the following maximum limitations (subject to location and conditions) for gearing supplied by WEW.
1. Vent Width 450-1700mm.
2. Vent Height 600-2400mm.
3. Vent Weight up to 130kg.
4. Ratio of Vent width / Vent Height not to exceed 1.5.
